1 - Frederick Douglass Bridge

The current Frederick Douglass bridge has been declared structurally retired. A new bridge spanning the Anacostia and connected by traffic ovals on both ends will be complete by late 2021.

2 - 1600-1700 S. Capitol St SW

This 2-block development from the Steuart Investment Company will be between the new South Cap traffic oval and the Anacostia River. Est delivery 2023.

3 - 1900 Half St SW

This building is the redevelopment of a long abandoned office building into an apartment building. Delivery 2020.

4 - Peninsula 88

A new condominium on Buzzard Point along the Anacostia River and next to the new River Point complex. Delivery early 2020.

5 - RiverPoint

RiverPoint is the redevelopment of the former Coast Guard Headquarters into an apartment building along the Anacostia an adjacent to James Creek Marina. Delivery early 2020.

6 - Audi Field (done)

DC United's new home in a soccer-specific stadium that opened in July 2018. Seats 20,000 and will be the future home of an XFL team in 2020.

7 - Cambria Hotel

Cambria is a boutique hotel chain that will be located at Half and Q St SW. Delivery 2020.

8 - Pepco Substation (done)

In late 2017 to service a burgeoning Navy Yard, Buzzard Point, and Wharf, Pepco began construction on a larger power substation. The renovation includes a remodeled James C. Dent house on the National Historical Register.

9 - 1542 1st St SW

1542 1st will be an affordable housing building at the corner of 1st and Q St SW, complete with wrap-around services. Estimated delivery 2021.

10 - Greenleaf

Bordering Buzzard Point to the north along M St and Delaware Ave, including King-Greenleaf Rec Center, Greenleaf is a collection of older affordable housing units slated for redevelopment by DCHA. Delivery timeline TBD.

11 - Wharf Phase 2

Bordering Buzzard Point on the northwest is the Wharf which recently began the second phase of construction in April 2019. Delivery in full 2022.

12 - Parcel B @ Audi Field

DC United has begun discussions with developers of what to do with Parcel B. Currently, it is an open green space that DCU is looking to turn into a temporary surface parking lot. 

13 - Waterfront Station II

At the Waterfront metro station, PN Hoffman will build a mixed-income apartment complex that has 20,000 sq ft of retail and a 9,000 sq ft theatre space. Delivery in 2022. 

14 - Buzzard Point Park

The National Park Service is responsible for a large portion of the Anacostia shoreline in Buzzard Point. They have narrowed down their park plans to 2 concepts that connect BPoint and Navy Yard.
