The current Frederick Douglass bridge has been declared structurally retired. A new bridge spanning the Anacostia and connected by traffic ovals on both ends will be complete by late 2021.
Watermark apartments is the redevelopment of a long abandoned office building at 1900 Half. It will also include Eagle Academy when school returns in-person. Delivered fall 2020.
A new condominium on Buzzard Point along the Anacostia River and next to the new River Point complex. Delivered in May 2020.
RiverPoint is the redevelopment of the former Coast Guard Headquarters into an apartment building along the Anacostia an adjacent to James Creek Marina. Delivery 2020.

In late 2017 to service a burgeoning Navy Yard, Buzzard Point, and Wharf, Pepco began construction on a larger power substation. The renovation includes a remodeled James C. Dent house on the National Historical Register.
1542 1st will be an affordable housing building at the corner of 1st and Q St SW, complete with wrap-around services. Delivery 2021.
Bordering Buzzard Point to the north along M St and Delaware Ave, including King-Greenleaf Rec Center, Greenleaf is a collection of older affordable housing units slated for redevelopment by DCHA. Delivery timeline TBD.
Bordering Buzzard Point on the northwest is the Wharf which recently began the second phase of construction in April 2019. Delivery in full 2022.
The National Park Service is responsible for a large portion of the Anacostia shoreline in Buzzard Point. They have narrowed down their park plans to 2 concepts that connect BPoint and Navy Yard.
MRP Realty closed on the land and buildings currently onsite (incl. the former Secrets lounge) in early 2020 and will build a 344 unit apartment building with ground floor retail. Delivery in 2022.
Akridge owns the 2 full city blocks of land just south of Audi Field that serve as gameday parking and beer festival space. The team has released plans for a massive 2.1M square feet development to happen in two stages with the southern half going first in 2022.
The old substation just north of the historic power plant could end up being land that Pepco sells or leases for development.
